Discuss… - Home Assistant to Deprecate installation methods and 32-bit architectures
The Core and Supervised installation methods are now officially deprecated. These setups, involved running Home Assistant in a Python environment or installing the Supervisor on top of your own operating system.
Home Assistant will be focusing on Home Assistant OS and Home Assistant Container.
Support for legacy 32-bit CPU architectures—i386, armhf, and armv7—is also being phased out.
New Features
- Device Picker Enhancements
There is now improved search functionality for pickers, which are now also available for the area, category, floor, label, user, and device pickers too. 2025.5 had a big change for the entity picker.
The biggest change you’ll notice is that manufacturer logos are now included - Bluetooth Network
The Bluetooth integration now provides a graph that shows how your Bluetooth devices are connected to your Home Assistant instance. This includes information about whether the device is connected directly or through a Bluetooth proxy.
The Zigbee integration–which already has a similar feature–also got an update to its graphs, making it consistent with the amazing new Bluetooth graphs. - Area Dashboard Love
2025.4 had a new experimental “areas” dashboard type introduced. This release brings some iterations on this one, based on user feedback. - Template Integration

Breaking Changes
- RTSPtoWebRTC has been removed as it has been replaced by the go2rtc integration.
- Met Office
Met Office deprecated the Datapoint API used by this integration. To address this, it is now migrated to DataHub API.
You will need to provide a new API key, which can be obtained by signing up for DataHub and subscribing to Global spot dataset. The free subscription provides 360 calls per day, which is enough for this integration to work
